What Makes the 1990-1992 GT Performers so unique? Many BMX enthusiasts will agree that the patented and genuinely unique Double Bend Frame and “COIN ROLLS” make the Performer stand out and one of the most desired BMX bikes on the market. The “Pro Performer (The Top Model of the Performer, afforded by pro riders, and “the rich Kids”) made its big-screen debut in the 1986 movie “RAD.” Although the Movie version featured the single bend, it was redesigned in 1987 when GT released the Pro Performer and the Pro Freestyle Tour Model, the first year of the Double Bend and Coin Roll. This uniquely styled bike caused a frenzy amongst Bmxers across the world, and it is still one of the most sought-after BMX bikes in the world! The frame style was then used exclusively by the GT performer from 1990 to 1992. (That’s This Bike!). With all that history, we decided to preserve it by converting this beauty into our signature BLING EDITION. This includes Triple Plated Chrome; GT Mallet Stem, GT Power Series Cranks ( re pop) with custom foil decals, GT Cheese Grater Sprocket, Custom Foil Hazzard Decals, GT Front and rear pegs.
The bike is sold as pictured unless extras are listed in the Investment summary. Before the purchase, the buyer will be asked to review the bike via Zoom, Instagram Live, or Microsoft Teams prior to purchase. A BMX BLING representative will review the bike in detail to ensure the buyer is aware of the condition and has the opportunity to view the bike and meet us personally! Buyers must be mindful that these bikes are classics. Most are over 30 Years old and are not intended to be used for tricks, including but not limited to Flatland, Vert, Street, Dirt Jumping, Racing, or any other BMX Style. Although every bike sold is ridable, these classic bikes are built for display purposes and to be viewed as collector’s pieces. Ride at your own risk.
These bikes are collectors items and are expected to increase in value. finding all the parts for these bikes requires time and effort to locate in addition to the cost of the item itself. If you calculate the time to locate, ship each part for these bikes, you will quickly realize that if this is our dream bike, it will cost you much less than sourcing and purchasing each part independentaly.
